The Long Road

Patch 07-30

A day spent reading the fine print. The final fight couldn't be started, and the last shop had been stocking the wrong shelf.

  • The final boss was unwinnable — the fight literally wouldn't start. A scared party (storm fear + a priest) hit a math bug that froze the battle on its opening frame, FIGHT button and all. Fixed. It stood for one day, and yes, it was the worst possible fight to break.
  • The last shop was selling you mid-run stock. When shop 4 moved to round 47, its good-loot table didn't move with it — so the run's final shop rolled cheap and skipped its guaranteed Epic. Also fixed: the same item could appear twice on one shelf, which read as "this shop has nothing."
  • The hunter finally owns a wardrobe. Seven new hunter items, uncommon to mythic. The class had exactly one traited item before, and it was the wrong one.
  • NEW weapon effect: Finisher. +25% damage against anything below half health. Stacks with the hunter's Kill Shot for a very unfriendly 3.25×.
  • 31 items were renamed. Fire names now mean fire resistance, no more bare "Shield" and "Charm", and a few names that were clearly borrowed from somewhere else got honest ones. Names only — your gear keeps its numbers.
  • Bond fires are an occasion again. A primed party was seeing blue flames on half its camps — that's a rhythm, not a jackpot. Now rarer, still the biggest training beat in the run.
  • The pacing choice became a place. The old "NEXT MOVE" cards are now a fork in the road: THE LONG WAY (the walk you know) or the SHORTCUT (short and rough). The mastery ceremony moved into the training yard too.
  • Nine screenshot fixes — including about thirty event icons that drew the wrong thing entirely. A stone golem was a toy robot. A forest hollow was a sofa. They're not anymore.
